South Korea Ice Hockey Camp

Hockey4All and Dream Big Academy Partner to Bring an Inspiring Hockey Camp to South Korea

In a groundbreaking initiative to expand the reach of ice hockey and promote inclusivity in sports, Hockey4All teamed up with Dream Big Academy to host a unique hockey camp in South Korea. This partnership marks a significant moment for the sport in a country where hockey is still gaining ground. Held over a week, the camp not only focused on skill development but also emphasized community building, teamwork, and the importance of pursuing dreams through sport lead by Hannah and Marissa Brandt (The Seoul Sisters).

Expanding Hockey’s Reach

Hockey4All, an organization renowned for making hockey accessible to underrepresented communities, has long been dedicated to breaking down barriers to entry in the sport. Whether it’s addressing the financial burden of equipment, or simply promoting interest in areas where hockey is less prevalent, the group has consistently worked toward diversifying the sport. Their mission aligned perfectly with Dream Big Academy’s focus on empowering youth to pursue their passions and develop life skills through athletics.

South Korea, while a growing force in winter sports, especially since the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, has seen limited access to ice hockey, particularly outside major cities like Seoul. Hockey4All’s initiative to bring a camp to South Korea is an important step toward making the sport more popular and accessible to a new generation of players.
